Onward HQ lights up for Pride 2018
Onward’s Hanover Street headquarters is one of many Liverpool buildings being lit up in LGBT+ rainbow colours as part of the ‘Come Out of the Shadows’ campaign.
The lighting of the building is part of an initiative by Liverpool Pride – which takes place this weekend (28-29 July) – and will see over 30 iconic buildings across the city being illuminated to raise awareness of LGBT+ hate crimes and showcase Liverpool as an LGBT-friendly city.
Other buildings being lit up for the campaign include St George’s Hall, Liverpool Central Library, Liverpool Town Hall, the Echo Arena and the Cunard Building.
This will be the third year that the city has taken part in the ‘Come Out of the Shadows’ campaign, which runs until Thursday 2 August.
As well as supporting the ‘Come Out of the Shadows’ campaign, Onward staff will also be taking part in the annual Pride march as part of ‘Homes for Everyone’ – a joint group of housing organisations promoting LGBT+ inclusivity in housing across Merseyside.
